Mess-Free Painting for Baby

I found this cute idea here for an easy first painting product for a baby – without any mess or danger of them eating the paint. (Plus, it’s also a nice texture for sensory fun!) While her brothers were working on a Valentine’s Day project, Little Flower got to give this a try.

I cut a paper into a heart shape so that she was in on the Valentine’s fun, too. Then I put it inside a plastic bag with a little bit of paint, zipped it up, and let her squish it around.

Well, mostly she wanted to try to eat it, but she did squish it a bit.

My sweet Little Flower’s finished product (which ripped a bit as I was taking it out of the bag because it was a bit loaded with paint in certain areas and should have been done on a thicker paper or backed with cardboard):
