“What is It?” Game

This really simple and fun “What is It?” game is a great activity because it had the boys using different senses to guess what objects they couldn’t see were.

First, I put an object inside an empty yogurt container. The boys took turns moving the container around and talking about what the object seemed like. Was it hard or soft? Loud or quiet? Was it heavy?

Then I took it out of the container, and with their eyes closed, they held it in their hands and guessed what it was.

They really enjoyed it, and it was great to watch Love Bug make some good guesses based on what he was hearing and feeling. We did four different objects, and I tried to tie some of them together, like asking if it was heavier than the previous item.

This idea was from our Preschool Science book.
