Farm Sensory with Cut Grass

For a simple, fun activity to keep the boys busy and give them a sensory experience, I collected a bunch of freshly cut grass from the yard and put it in our plastic project container. Then I added in a few toy farm animals, a tractor, and a lawnmower. I wasn’t sure what they’d end up doing, if they’d want to just play with the grass, if they’d mow it or make the cow eat it, etc.

They didn’t play for too long, but they did seem to have fun. I did hear Love Bug say to one of the animals, “I’m going to put you here to keep you safe.” They were both pretend mowing and having animals ride on the tractor.

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
