Math Skills: Graphing

I’d found an idea for a transportation graph on this post about preschool math activities. It was simple to set up.

I made a chart for things that travel on land, air, and water. Then we used puzzle pieces and toy vehicles for graphing.

Love Bug had no trouble with it except he hadn’t known what “land” meant and thought it was for things like the airplane that land.

We also did a shape graph using our wooden blocks.

Love Bug knows the shapes, but it’s still a good activity to sort them and represent them as a chart. I was interested to see how he’d do with the rectangle because we have three different types of rectangle blocks, but he insisted on just using one type. Same with the triangles, which we have two of.
