Shaving Cream + Cornstarch

The boys love shaving cream. We play with it in the bath all the time, but we hadn’t done many activities with it in a long time, so this was something fun and new to try.

We sprinkled cornstarch in the bottom of a container and then added some shaving cream. They mixed it up with spoons and a whisk.

Love Bug really didn’t want to touch it at first, which I wasn’t surprised by. He just cared about washing off his spoons, so I gave him some water and next thing I knew Sweet Pea had added it to the container. It completely changed the consistency and made it look more like glue or really liquidy/melting icing. After a little while, Love Bug was fine with sticking his hands in.

And he liked filling a cup and saying he was making pancakes and milkshakes.

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
