Squeeze Bottles on the Easel

The boys love our easel, but the only real project we’ve done on it before was a rainbow sponge painting craft a while back. I found a few other easel ideas here and was really eager to try the squeeze bottle painting.

It was easy but very messy – partly because I had slightly watered down the tempera paint to make sure it was easy enough to squeeze out, and some of it ended up a little too watery. I had put an old towel beneath the easel, so that caught anything that dripped.

I put a paper on the easel and gave the boys three squeeze bottles (red, yellow, and blue) and let them paint.

Love Bug had a lot of fun once he figured out the best way to hold the bottle, but it was a little hard for Sweet Pea to get anything much out without my help.

The finished product: I like how it has a mixture of the dripping and the spray paint look.
