Christmas Book

This project sort of happened by accident.

Love Bug had wanted to decorate some pictures for Christmas, so I set up some long pieces of paper and gave him markers and watercolors. I gave Sweet Pea his own paper with just markers. I think this was his first time using the markers, but he figured it out right away and was even putting the caps back on (partially anyway) and putting them away in the box.

I thought that we were just going to hang them up, but later in the day, LB said that he wanted to put them together and make a book! We ended up stapling the pages together. (He made sure we added SP’s in too!).

I asked him if he wanted to make up a name for the book, and he said it should be called “Every Christmas Star I See.” (Though a little while later he decided all the colors were different foods and that it should really be called “Every Fruit and Vegetable I See in the Garden.”)

I love this idea, though. I think it’s something that we could do as he gets older and maybe make one each year.

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
