50+ Fun Activities

Some days all Love Bug wants to do is watch TV, and he cries if I say no. I was looking for some ideas of fun, easy activities to do instead of TV, and I ended up coming up with a great list and also got the idea for creating a “Boredom Jar.” I wrote each of the ideas on a piece of colorful construction paper, folded them, and put them in an empty peanut butter jar. That way, when we’re in need of an idea, I don’t have to struggle to think of something and it’ll be fun for him to see what new ideas we get!

The full list of ideas I’ve gotten so far (some are games he’s done before, some are new ideas from other sites or that I came up with):

  1. Drumming on pots, boxes, buckets, etc.

  9. Foam mat maze
  10. Act out a book
  11. Dance party
  12. Draw for family members
  13. Bubble play: Fill pot of extremely soapy water and let water drain so it’s just bubbles (I can’t wait to try this!)
