Pasta Strainer Painting

The set up – two bottles of slightly watered down Tempera paint, paper taped to the floor, and a strainer:


Pouring paint into the strainer and seeing how red and blue make purple:


And a bit of a mess, especially once you start to shake the strainer and let the paint swirl around:


The paint may have been watered down a tad too much. And it didn’t help that Love Bug kept pouring it all in at one time without moving the strainer around:


He said he was making “fire dog spots” out of the purple and white. Apparently that big watery purple blob at the top left is a “big fire dog spot.”

Once we ran out of paint, we did it with yellow and red. Some of our best finished products:


Really fun but a little on the messy side.
