Thankful Turkey

I wanted to do a turkey craft again this year (you just can’t make it through Thanksgiving without some sort of handprint turkey!), but wanted it to be a little unique.

This was last year’s:

This year, I found a cute religious turkey idea on Catholic Icing and it was the first one that really jumped out at me as being different enough to be worth doing.

It was really easy. I just pre-cut a few colorful construction paper pieces for the feathers. We traced Love Bug’s hand on a brown construction paper and glued each of the feathers over the fingers. On the feathers, we wrote different things that he’s thankful for. He’s still just learning that concept, so some are amusing.

I think this could be something really fun to do each year to see how his answers change!

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
