Rainy Day Rainbows

One day out of the blue Love Bug said he wanted to do a project with rainbows and that he wanted to draw a rainbow. So we ended up coloring a rainbow with markers (really simple and fun).

Since he seemed interested in rainbows, I looked for some other ideas and found a great one from The Children’s Art Group.

I cut a paper plate in half and cut a space at the bottom to make it a rainbow shape, and I ripped it colored construction and tissue paper. I had him help sort the papers by color, and then he glued them on the plate. He did really well with it, and had a lot of fun. Then we took some cotton balls and made clouds at the bottom.
