Snap Painting

This is such a fun project that both of the boys enjoyed. There are two ways I found that you could do it. Basically you just wrap rubber bands around a tray (we used a cookie sheet). You could either paint the rubber bands then or dip them in paint before you wrap them on. We painted them with a paintbrush. I’d heard this was extremely messy, but it wasn’t too bad for us and I’m thinking it could be messier if we did it the other way because the bands would probably have more paint on them.

After we had the painted rubber bands around the tray, we slipped a paper underneath and then snapped the rubber bands so the paint came off all over the tray. Love Bug did his own and then helped with painting the rubber bands for Sweet Pea to snap. It was fun to see them working on it together and both of them getting to have fun with it.
