Cupcake Cup Crafts

I found this really fun simple idea for a butterfly with cupcake cup wings.

All it takes is a popsicle stick, googly eyes, and a cupcake cup. We flattened out the cupcake cup and then bunched it up in the center, grabbing from the top and working down til it was all pinched together. We glued the center of it of the popsicle stick and arranged it so that the wings were fanned out nicely. We added the eyes and I let him decorate it how he wanted. He wanted to put on some feathers and this long piece of crepe paper hanging down from the top, which I decided could be the cocoon that the butterfly comes out of.

Another idea I came up with also using a cupcake cup was to make a pretend cupcake. We put glue inside and then filled it with little pompoms. Then we drizzled glitter glue over top to be the icing.
