Painting with Feathers

We found a feather outside in our yard. I showed it to Love Bug, and he said, “Oh! Maybe we can do a project with it right now!” I love it – that he’s seeing things and thinking of doing projects and coming up with his own ideas.

I had a bunch more feathers that I’d bought a while back, so we took some of them, too, and painted with the feathers. I didn’t know if he’d just stick them in paint and print with them or if he’d drag them around like a paintbrush. He ended up mostly just printing, but he seemed to have fun getting the paint on them in the first place and doing things like saying he would use the red feather for the red paint.
