Car Wash + Toy Truck Painting, Part 2

We did toy truck painting last summer as one of our first-ever projects, but I wanted to do it again now that Love Bug is obsessed with trucks. And Sweet Pea was help out too.

I taped down a big sheet of paper in the garage and put out some paint and a few different types of toy trucks. They rolled the wheels in the paint and then rolled the trucks across the paper. It’s really easy and fun.

Except that Sweet Pea ended up covered in paint and needed a bath. It washes off so easily but it’s still a little difficult and I’m still not sure if the fun is worth the mess for him.

Our finished project, which I love:

I did this again with just Love Bug a few days later and afterwards we decided to do a “car wash,” where we put the trucks in a big container of water to wash off the paint. He loves playing with water and got a kick out of this idea.

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
