Painting with Strange Objects: Ribbon

This was Love Bug’s idea.

The ribbon came from a birthday gift bag (we had a double birthday party last weekend for my now 3- and 1-year-olds!). Love Bug was playing with it and announced that he wanted to do a project with it. He’d already pulled it apart into pieces, which made things easy.

I put out some paint, helped him dip the end in it (for some reason he wasn’t into getting dirty that day), and then let him put it on the paper. It had a really cool effect because he was springing it up and down.
