April Showers

Our first spring project!

This was really easy. First, I printed an umbrella template I found online. Love Bug painted it purple (his favorite color and usually his first choice). Then we made blue raindrops on a sheet of paper.

We tried three different techniques for making rain. 1. Shaking the blue paint off the paintbrush (which was a little too hard for him because he couldn’t quite shake the brush hard enough for it to come off). 2. Dipping a toothpick into the blue paint and dotting it all over the paper (which was really fun for him but wasn’t too efficient in getting lots of paint on quickly). 3. Fingerprints (quick and always a hit because it’s fun to get messy like that).

Then we glued the umbrella on the paper, and our April Showers project was done!

About Kelly

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two boys and a girl. My Love Bug is 4 and has been doing art projects since just after turning 2. My Sweet Pea is 2 and tries to do everything his brother does. Little Flower is 4 months and has no idea of all the fun she has ahead of her.
